Because of an issue in the timezone setting for bidtopia, auctions added after DST and before Nov 3 have the incorrect endtime recorded. To correct this users must delete and readd these auctions. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

eBay has apparently made a change in their policy with regard to viewing some international items on the ebay.com site. They are forcing users to use the local site. Our system currently uses ebay.com to collect all item data. Users attempting to add such items will get an invalid item error. We are working on a fix and hope to have it up soon.

eBay has increased the enforcement of their 'weak password' policy over the past several days, and it shows no signs of slowing down. eBay has added a security warnings for users with a password THEY have determined to be less than strong. They are warning these users to change their password to something more secure. This warning, while intermittent, is blocking bids from our system when it appears. To avoid this problem, we urge you to make sure your password with eBay is secure, then update it with us using the CHANGE LOGIN link on your My Account page as soon as possible. A more secure password would be one with a series of six or more alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers), something totally different than your username, and not a name. If you are sure your password is something even someone very close to you could not guess, no action is required.

We began offering a Buyer's Club this week which refunds part of the expense of the items won on eBay to the user.

The problem some users were having with the "Remember Me" feature has been resolved. Also, some Internet Explorer 7/Vista users were having problems placing the Snapper link on their toolbar. This problem has been resolved. Just follow the instructions on the Snapper page for IE7, then when you use Snapper, IE7 will prompt you to allow this popup.

Users of Yahoo Auction Japan were erroneously getting a prompt to verify their accounts when bidding 15,000 or more. The problem has been corrected.

A problem with some international users with spaces in their usernames and with the Ajax bidding verification popup turned off has been fixed. Bids are now able to be added now for sniping.

Some users are reporting intermittent problems adding bids for mature auctions. We are looking into the issue.
